Curriculum Description

Undergraduate:

The curriculum in petroleum engineering includes math, physics, chemistry, geology, geophysics and training in other branches of engineering, such as mechanical, chemical, hydraulic, computer science, geological engineering and petroleum engineering sciences. The curriculum includes field training.

Masters and Doctorate:

The MS program is intended to provide the student with an advanced and more intense treatment of petroleum engineering concepts, with particular reference to drilling, production, well testing, reservoir engineering, EOR, reservoir modeling and computer simulation. The degree is a 2-year study program with a final thesis. Students with BS Degrees (petroleum or other engineering fields) may be accepted and advanced to candidacy following the completion of certain prerequisite courses.

Students in the Doctorate program devote at least 1/4 of their time to petroleum engineering courses, approximately 1/2 to research, and approximately 1/4 to courses outside the department. An acceptable dissertation is required for the PhD degree

Program Admission Requirements

Undergraduate:

Admission to both Undergraduate and Master’s Level program is subject to Italian requirements for admission to University Education System. In the case of transfer of foreign students, admission is granted according to internal rules, available upon request. Admission will not be offered to a student for whom academic success cannot be reasonably predicted.

Masters and Doctorate:
