Accreditation
The three year basic level day program in Geotechnology and the two year advanced level day programm are accredited by the ARGE TU/TH Germany..
Curriculum Description
Undergraduate:
The program educates the student fully in the basic sciences of geology, physics, mathematics, and chemistry and all of the engineering diciplines required in the discovery, development, production, evaluation of petroleum fluids. The department is uniquely located in the North German Permo-Triassic Basin where most of germanies oil and gas fields are located.
Masters:
The department is staffed with industry-experienced faculty who has an average of more than 5 years of experience per faculty member. This experience is combined with sound engineering and scientific principles in the classroom and made an integral part of the candidate’s educational challenge. The Department has extensive cooperations with germanys biggest geoscientific research centre, GFZ German Research centre for Geosciences wich provides the student with unique research opportunities
Doctorate:
A PhD degree can be graduated by working independantly on engineering or scientific topic. The lenght of the PhD project is two to three years full time. An acceptable dissertation is required for the PhD degree.
Program Admission Requirements
Undergraduate:
Admission requirements for undergraduate studies are a general qualification for university entrance.
Masters and Doctorate:
The programm admission requirement for the M.Sc. in Geotechnology are a undergrade degree in with at least 180 european credit points or equal, in petroleum geology or petroleum engineering or a related engineering or science discipline
Doctorate:
