it is unfortunate that someone that has worked on 6 problem wells as such (but all on land) can determine what the probable problems were before it was made public as i had 4 of the 5 pegged. the LSD i did not as i would never have believed someone would NOT have this in place, especially on an exploratory well. it has given the industry a huge black eye. my experience if land vs offshore experience suggests very strongly from my experiences of 30 years of predominately land but 4 years offshore in GOM and North Sea, that 6 months on land experience is similar to 3 years offshore. Time served does not always indicate varied experience. a person can have 20 yrs in the industry, but if doing the same thing it is 20 years of one year experience. I have worked in 16 countries and learned something in each one.
